How to permanently delete your Inside OAU! account and the data linked to it.

01Delete your account in the app (fastest)
Open Inside OAU!, go to Settings → Your Account → Delete account. Type your username to confirm, then enter your password. Deletion starts immediately and cannot be undone.
02What is deleted
Your profile, posts, comments, direct and group messages, marketplace listings, event tickets, follows, XP and badges, and the rest of the data linked to your account are permanently deleted from our systems. Because tickets are deleted with your account, use or transfer any ticket for an upcoming event first.
03What may remain
Payment records for ticket and marketplace purchases are also held by our payment provider, Paystack, under its own retention rules and the law. Study materials you shared to the library are hosted publicly and may remain reachable by direct link. Copies in routine system backups are removed as those backups expire.
04Can't open the app?
Email support@insideoau.app from the email address registered on your account, with the subject Delete my account. Include your username or matriculation number. We will confirm it is you by replying to that address, then delete your account and tell you when it is done. We aim to finish within 30 days.
05Prefer to keep your account?
You can instead deactivate it from Settings → Your Account. Your profile and activity are hidden from other students, and signing back in reactivates everything.
