Terms of Service

The rules for using Inside OAU!, the campus app for Obafemi Awolowo University students.

Last updated — October 2026

Draft. Written to reflect this app's actual features, but not a substitute for review by a qualified professional before public launch.

01Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on Inside OAU!, you agree to these terms.

02Eligibility

Inside OAU! is intended for current students of Obafemi Awolowo University. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

03Acceptable Use

You agree not to: harass, threaten, or impersonate other users; post content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes someone else’s rights; misuse the marketplace to sell prohibited or fraudulent items; cheat or share answer keys in a way that undermines CBT quizzes and duels; or attempt to access another user’s account or bypass the app’s security measures.

04Your Content

You retain ownership of the posts, comments, listings, and other content you create. By posting it, you give us the license needed to store, display, and distribute it within the app as intended — for example, showing your post in other students’ feeds.

05Marketplace and Payments

Marketplace transactions are between buyers and sellers; Inside OAU! is not a party to the sale itself. Payments for event tickets and any paid features are processed by Paystack. We do not store your full card details. All sales and ticket purchases are subject to the policies of the event organizer or seller.

06Direct Messages

One-on-one text messages are end-to-end encrypted, meaning we cannot read their content. This also means we cannot recover encrypted messages if you lose access to your device, and cannot review encrypted message content in response to a report.

07Account Deactivation and Deletion

You may deactivate your account at any time (Settings → Your Account) — signing back in reverses this. You may also permanently delete your account, which removes your data immediately and cannot be undone.

08Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including for harassment, fraud, or academic dishonesty facilitated through the app.

09Disclaimer

Inside OAU! is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep the app reliable and secure but do not guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. Disclaimer: "Inside OAU!" is an independent application developed by Nexus Core Innovations Limited. It is not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates. The official Obafemi Awolowo University website is oauife.edu.ng. 10Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
